Gerard “Jerry” Clark is the founder and principal of RJL Financial Group. For over two decades, he has helped the residents of New Jersey and beyond achieve successful retirements, guiding retirees, pre-retirees, and recently widowed or divorced women in taking the next steps in their lives. By providing comprehensive financial planning that focuses on getting clients organized and creating income flows, he aims to ensure that they no longer have to worry about their finances.

Jerry’s top priority is for each client to be empowered to enjoy their life and trust that they can turn to him when they need financial advice. His belief is that with proper planning, you should be able to maintain and potentially elevate your lifestyle throughout whatever challenges come your way and into your retirement years.

A former golf pro, Jerry got his start in the financial industry as a runner on the floor of a commodities exchange (the Comex at 6 World Trade Center) specializing in gold and copper futures. He then climbed the ranks at Progressive Plan Administrator where he specialized in retirement planning.

In 1998, Jerry founded RJL Financial Group with the goal of changing the way people look at retirement planning. Inspired by his sports coaching background, he aims to motivate and empower pre-retirees and retirees to achieve predictable savings results, giving them the ability to feel secure about their future. Whether you are recently divorced, widowed, heading into retirement, or experiencing any other major financial transition, Jerry is passionate about providing sound financial strategies and a solid foundation to help you live free from anxiety about money.

Jerry and his wife Lisa have been married for more than 20 years and have two daughters, Riley and Josie, for whom RJL Financial Group is named. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and cross-training to stay fit and healthy (he’s a two-time participant in the Lake Placid Ironman Triathlon), and loves good food and good wine.

Sheri Dermangian

Office Manager


Sheri oversees the day-to-day office operations of RJL Financial Group and assists in supporting clients when needed.

Holding associate’s degrees in accounting and business management, Sheri came to RJL Financial Group in 2019 with over 25 years of experience in the finance industry. Most recently, Sheri worked at a Registered Investment Advisor, where she held a position as Director of Client Relations. There she served as the primary contact for Investment Advisor Representatives, assisting with the training of their staff and providing tools to use to better serve their clients.

Sheri has been in Florida for over 15 years with her husband, Steve, along with their two dogs, Tucker and Cooper. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, riding bikes, and walking her dogs.

Carole Fetterman

Client Services & Operations Specialist


Carole enjoys assisting and supporting clients with the execution of paperwork as they onboard, as well as performing day-to-day maintenance of client accounts. She also manages the calendar for the team, assists in client communication, and strives to ensure exceptional service for our clients.

Prior to coming to RJL Financial Group in March of 2019, Carole worked at a fast-growing Registered Investment Advisor for eight years servicing and training over 450 financial advisors and their staff in the advisor resource center, as well as assisting in the deployment of several compliance systems for the firm.

While Carole holds her honors bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music, she has made herself known to be an administrative professional for both law firms and financial companies in need of skills in customer service, editing, databases, organization, and performance reporting.

In her free time, Carole enjoys singing in her community, teaching private voice lessons, and spending time with her husband, Scott, and their children, Miles and Melody.
